“Spider-Man” Tom Holland takes a break from acting due to mental health

Tom Holland, known for his role as Spider-Man, has declared a temporary break from acting to take care of his mental health.

On June 6th (local time), Tom Holland revealed that he has decided to take a break from acting after his involvement in the Apple TV+ series “The Crowded Room”, where he served as a producer and lead actor.

In particular, the “Spider-Man” star had an interview with media outlet Extra TV, where he mentioned his experience while working on the set of “The Crowded Room”.

“It was a tough time, for sure”, the actor said, adding, “We were exploring certain emotions that I have definitely never experienced before. And then on top of that, being a producer, dealing with the day-to-day problems that come with any film set, just added that extra level of pressure.”

He continued by saying that the show did break him, adding, “I’m now taking a year off, and that is a result of how difficult this show was”.

On the other hand, Tom Holland told Entertainment Weekly that “The Crowded Room” had left him struggling to extract himself from the role, and that he had “a bit of a meltdown” at home, where he thought about shaving his head to “get rid” of the character.

It appears that Tom Holland intends to return to the Marvel’s “Spider-Man” franchise after his temporary hiatus.

Furthermore, Tom Holland is currently in a public relationship with his co-star Zendaya Coleman, whom he met on the set of the movie “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”
