The court hearing for Source Music’s damages lawsuit against former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin has officially been postponed just one day before proceedings were scheduled to begin.

According to reports on May 14, the first hearing for the 500 million won damages lawsuit originally set for May 15 has now been moved to May 29 at 4:15 PM KST.

The delay came after Source Music’s legal representatives reportedly submitted a request for a change of hearing date on May 4.

Meanwhile, a separate lawsuit hearing involving BELIFT LAB will proceed as originally scheduled, approximately one hour before Source Music’s session.

Source Music first filed the lawsuit against Min Hee Jin in July 2024 at the Seoul Western District Court amid the escalating public conflict between Min and parent company HYBE.

The agency argued that several statements Min Hee Jin made publicly regarding Source Music during her dispute with HYBE were false and damaging.

At the center of the controversy were claims Min made during a high-profile press conference. At the time, she alleged that HYBE had broken its promise to debut NewJeans as the company’s first girl group. She also claimed that Source Music neglected the NewJeans members and that HYBE failed to actively support the group’s promotions.

In response, Source Music strongly denied the allegations and released an official statement criticizing Min Hee Jin’s comments.

The company stated that it deeply regretted “the current situation in which false claims and disrespectful expressions were publicly made while mentioning other artists by name.”

Source Music further argued that claims suggesting LE SSERAFIM harmed other artists or benefited unfairly were “clear examples of spreading false information as though they were established facts.”

The ongoing legal battle remains one of the most closely watched disputes in the K-pop industry, as tensions between HYBE, ADOR, and former executive Min Hee Jin continue to impact multiple artists and labels connected to the controversy.
