On the May 6 episode of You Quiz on the Block, Sooyoung appeared alongside Hyoyeon and Yuri as part of the special “HyoriSu” unit.

During the broadcast, Sooyoung revealed that her father currently serves as the chairman of an organization dedicated to preventing blindness.

She explained that in the past, whenever volunteer or donation opportunities related to the cause appeared, her father would quietly participate on his own.

However, Yuri later found out about the situation and reacted emotionally.

“Yuri told me, ‘Sooyoung, your father is doing such meaningful work. Why didn’t you tell me? If something like that happens, you should tell me right away,’” Sooyoung recalled.

According to Sooyoung, Yuri personally donated after learning about it, and the other members have continued contributing consistently ever since.

“It feels like they’re carrying my family’s burdens together with me,” she shared.

Sooyoung also revealed heartbreaking news about her father’s health, saying he has battled Retinitis pigmentosa for around 15 years and has now almost completely lost his vision.

Despite the difficult circumstances, she expressed deep appreciation for the unwavering support she received from her members.

Yuri also reflected on the group’s bond, saying she had experienced similar support herself.

“When I realized that kind of support keeps growing like a snowball and strongly backs me up, I felt confident that nothing would seem too difficult anymore,” Yuri said, creating a warm and emotional atmosphere on the show.
