Song Minho (WINNER) raised controversy over going to a Yangyang club, made an impromptu performance there while ignoring social distancing

Song Minho (27), a member of WINNER, performed a short performance at a club in Yangyang. It was on May 3 – May 4 when the social distancing was emphasized.

Song Minho visited the club called “A” in Yangyang County, Gangwon Province, on May 3. This is a new club that opened in Yangridangil on May 1st. It also operated a shuttle service between Seoul and Yangyang on May 1 and May 2.

Song Minho made an impromptu performance at the club. He grabbed the mic in the DJ booth and sang his hit song “Fiance.”

The atmosphere at the club was heated up with Song Minho’s surprise appearance. People gathered around him while most of them were wearing masks under their chins.

Club A told Dispatch on the 12th, “Song Minho dropped by to play on his way,” and adding, “We didn’t officially invite him for the purpose of performing.”

This person then defended him, saying they had few customers at the time. “There were no customers because it was the end of the holiday. Most of them were acquaintances of Song Minho,” he added.

However, it is hard to avoid criticism for turning a blind eye to social distancing. The period from May 1 to May 5 is the golden holiday. It was the time when voluntary social distancing was emphasized.

Club A recommended the use of hand sanitizers, checking body temperature, writing names on a list, and wearing masks before entering the club. However, few people were properly following the quarantine guidelines.

In fact, the ‘Itaewon’ Corona 19 incident also broke out during this period. Park Gyuri, a former member of Kara, was also rumored to have entered the Itaewon club early on May 3.

Meanwhile, club mass infection is spreading. On May 1, patient No.66 in Yongin was confirmed with coronavirus after visiting five clubs in Itaewon. So far, the number of confirmed cases from Itaewon clubs is 101 cases.
