Song Kang Won’t Receive Best Couple With Kim Yoo-jung At SBS Drama Awards? “Schedules Under Coordination”

Song Kang is starring in SBS’s Fri-Sat drama “My Demon” and performing a romance with Kim Yoo-jung. He appears as Jung Goo-won, a demon who gets married to the devilish heiress Do Do-hee (Kim Yoo-jung) after losing his power. With his emotional acting and lovely chemistry with Kim Yoo-jung, Song Kang is fluttering viewers’ hearts in every episode.

Making his debut in tvN’s 2017 series “The Liar and His Lover” and emerging as a popular actor after appearing in “Sweet Home”, “Navillera”, “Nevertheless”, etc., Song Kang is raising fans’ expectations for his first attendance of a drama award ceremony held by a terrestrial broadcasting station with “My Demon”.

However, there’s a possibility that the actor will be absent from the awards ceremony. According to a report by OSEN on December 24th, the actor will not attend the 2023 SBS Drama Awards. In this regard, SBS briefly said, “We’re coordinating the schedules”.

If Song Kang is absent, even if “My Demon” main characters receive Best Couple, viewers will not be able to see the two hold the trophy together. In the meantime, Kim Yoo-jung, who plays Do Do-hee in “My Demon”, already confirmed her appearance at the awards ceremony as an MC.

The lineup of 2023 SBS Drama Awards has been a hot topic for discussions these days. Prior to Song Kang, Moon Chae-won from the drama “Payback” was also reported to not attend the awards ceremony following the drug scandal of her co-star Lee Sun-kyun. Amid speculations, SBS stated, “We’re coordinating schedules with all actors, including Moon Chae-won. Nothing has been decided yet”.

Meanwhile, the 2023 SBS Drama Awards will be held at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on December 29th. The event will be hosted by Shin Dong-yeop and Kim Yoo-jung.
