Song Joong Ki’s strange coincidence: a Sungkyunkwan student who plays an ancient Sungkyunkwan student (Drama TMI)

As a student of Sungkyunkwan University, Song Joong Ki had fun when he was casted to play his own school’s “ancient alumni”. 

It is well known that famous actor Song Joong Ki, who excelled in his studies, is an alumni of the prestigious Sungkyunkwan University. 

Interestingly, it turns out that Song Joong Ki’s breakthrough role also has to do with his old school. 

Particularly, back in 2010, Song Joong Ki was casted to play the role of Goo Yong Ha – a main character in the K-drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal”, who studied at Sungkyunkwan University in the ancient time. 

At the time, Song Joong Ki starred alongside Park Min Young, Park Yoo Chun, and Yoo Ah. Meanwhile, his character, Goo Yong Ha was well-loved for his cheeky attitude and flashy appearance, as well as his loyal yet fun character, earning Song Joong Ki a lot of popularity.

Song Joong Ki is said to have had a lot of fun playing a character that is an alumni from his own school.
