Song Joong Ki responds to rumors surrounding his wife Katy, “Everything is not true, except for the name of her university”
Actor Song Joong Ki sincerely explained the rumors surrounding him and his British wife Katy Louise Saunders.
Song Joong Ki took pictorials and conducted an interview for the March issue of GQ Korea magazine.
Greeted with a congratulation on his wedding, Song Joong Ki responded, “That’s so nice. I feel great but I tend to stay calm. It is true that it gave me a new feeling, but on the other hand, it seems to be the same as before”.
When asked if he was trying to control his emotions, the actor said, “That’s actually right. I already said in a previous interview that making a family and having children are my biggest goals in life. I’m very excited and full of positive emotions, like being nervous in a happy way, but I try to not get too excited. That’s how I feel these days.”
Earlier on January 30th, Song Joong Ki wrote a letter on his fancafe, announcing his remarriage with Katy Louise Saunders and his wife’s pregnancy at the same time.
Song Joong Ki expressed his affection for his wife during the interview with GQ Korea. He said, “If I had to explain what a person Katy is, I would say that she’s nice person enough to make me tell lots of stories. Since we have limited time, I cannot tell you everything about her at today’s interview. To put it simply, she’s a friend who gives me faith in many ways”, adding “For example, she has similar thoughts and philosophies to mine and she’s the woman who once again confirms that I’m right. She often says ‘It’s the same to me’.”
Song Joong Ki also explained the rumors, such as his wife Katy being a single mom, that have continuously spread since he announced dating, marriage, and pregnancy news. The actor shared, “We actually didn’t care about them at first. It was like a daily thing for us, and even if many people know about us, our love doesn’t change. However, I got angrier when more and more ridiculous stories poured out. Except for the name of the university she attended (Bocconi University in Milan), everything is incorrect.”
He continued, “As my anger grew, Katy told me this. ‘You don’t have to get mad at these people’. I can’t tell more of that here, but it’s that friend. She leads me in a positive direction and balances my life.”
Revealing that the day he announced his remarriage to fans was also the day he registered his marriage with Katy, Song Joong Ki said, “After registering my marriage, I immediately went to the script reading and the filming site of ‘Ro Ki Wan’. I and Katy finished our work and spent the late evening together. It was a hectic day.”
