Song Joong Ki prepared for an audition for a BBC drama… Was he influenced by his British girlfriend?
Actor Song Joong Ki, who admitted to dating a British woman, reportedly prepared for an audition to seek overseas expansion.
Officials in the broadcasting industry observed that this was also influenced by his British lover.
According to the broadcasting industry on Dec 27th, Song Joong Ki prepared for an audition for a British BBC drama after finishing filming tvN’s drama “Vincenzo” (2021).
A broadcasting official who was well aware of the situation shared, “At that time, it was a time when Korean actors were opening the door to overseas expansion. Therefore, I thought Song Joong Ki was preparing for an audition in order to appear in an overseas work on his own. Now that I think about it, I wonder if he was influenced by his British girlfriend.“
His agency HighZium Studio said they cannot confirm anything except for the fact that Song Joong Ki is dating a woman. An official from the agency told Sports Seoul, “We cannot disclose the nationality, age and occupation of the woman Song Joong Ki is dating.“
On Dec 26th, Song Joong Ki became a hot topic when it was revealed that he is dating a British woman. He attended the media conference of JTBC’s “Reborn Rich” held at Resorts World Sentosa Coliseum, Singapore on Dec 7th. Song Joong Ki was accompanied by his girlfriend, and he reportedly introduced his girlfriend to drama officials.
When Song Joong Ki won the grand prize at “APAN Star Awards” on Sep 29th, he mentioned, “My beloved Katy, Nalla, Maya and Antes.” Based on his acceptance speech, his girlfriend is believed to be former British actress Katy Louise Saunders.
Nalla is Song Joong Ki’s dog. In April 2014, Katy posted a photo taken with her dogs Maya and Antes on Facebook.
After graduating from Bocconi University in Italy, Saunders worked as an actress, and now teaches English. Netizens speculated that Katy was Song Joong Ki’s Italian teacher due to the fact that Song Joong Ki learned the local language for the role of an Italian mafia in tvN’s drama “Vincenzo” last year.
