Song Joong Ki’s life is reset in the unprecedented revenge drama “The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate”.
The production team of JTBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate” (directed by Jeong Dae Yoon, written by Kim Tae Hee, Jang Eun Jae) released the first teaser video on October 28th.
“The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate” is a fantasy revenge drama in which Yoon Hyun Woo (Song Joong Ki), a secretary who manages the risk of a conglomerate, is reborn as Jin Do Joon, the youngest son of that wealthy chaebol family. Intricate mysteries and conspiracies unfolding in the turbulent 80’s, unimaginable fights between characters herald the birth of a thrilling revenge drama.
The first teaser video released on this day starts with Yoon Hyun Woo being caught in an unexpected storm. He is the team leader of Sunyang C&T’s future asset management team, and an all-round troubleshooter who doesn’t hesitate to do anything for the Sunyang family. To some, he is a talented employee who ‘never makes you say it twice’, but to others, he is simply seen as someone who is easy to control.
In the midst of this, he is given an important mission. It is to retrieve Sunyang’s assets that have been leaked overseas. And there, he encounters an event that completely changes his fate. Yoon Hyun Woo is chased by monsters. Soon after, he is pushed to the edge of a cliff and drowned in the distant darkness with a single shot.
Surprisingly, he woke up again in Seoul in 1987. Returning to life in the body of a child, he is greatly confused. The most surprising thing is that the child’s identity is Jin Do Joon, the youngest son of Jin Yang Cheol (Lee Seong Min), the first chairman of the Sunyang Group. Song Joong Ki plays Yoon Hyun Woo, a loyal secretary of the conglomerate and also Jin Do Joon, the youngest son of the conglomerate family. After being unfairly framed and abandoned, Yoon Hyun Woo comes back to life as Jin Do Joon and plunges into a fierce war for revenge.
Lee Seong Min takes on the role of Jin Yang Cheol, the chairman of the Sunyang Group and reigning emperor. After a poor childhood, Jin Yang Cheol rose to the top of the business world. He is preparing for the final battle of his life with his endless craving for money and relentless cruelty. Shin Hyun Been plays Seo Min Yeong, a prosecutor in the anti-corruption investigation department from a prestigious family of law. Nicknamed the “Grim Reaper of the Sunyang family”, she begins to dig into this wealthy family with her persistence toward justice.
“The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate” will premiere on November 18 at 10:30 pm KST.
