On July 9, Song Ji Hyo uploaded a new video to her YouTube channel featuring rapper Nucksal as a guest. While preparing and serving food herself, the two talked openly about marriage, raising children, and the realities of married life.
Nucksal, who married in 2022 and is now the father of two sons, explained that dating and marriage are completely different experiences. He said that marriage requires people to be more considerate and understanding because spouses share the same living space every day.
“When you’re dating, you have time apart and space to collect your thoughts,” he said. “Marriage is different because there’s really nowhere to run. Even if one person stays in the living room and the other is in the bedroom, you’re still sharing the same home. That’s why communication and understanding each other are so important.”
Despite the challenges, Nucksal said he is happy with married life. He shared that he enjoys spending time with his wife, sharing hobbies together, and raising their children.
After listening to his experience, Song Ji Hyo admitted that her feelings about marriage often change.
“When I hear stories like yours, I think I want to get married,” she said. “But once I go back to living my own daily life, those thoughts disappear. Maybe that’s why I’m still single.”
Nucksal immediately responded with a playful reality check.
“Shouldn’t you find someone to marry first?” he joked. “You keep saying, ‘I don’t want to get married anymore,’ and then suddenly, ‘I want to get married,’ even though you’re not actually doing anything about it.”
Song Ji Hyo fired back, saying, “I need to feel like getting married before I even start noticing men,” drawing laughter from everyone.
Song Ji Hyo previously surprised viewers on SBS’s Running Man in December last year when she revealed details about her past relationship. She shared that her last romance had ended about four to five years earlier and disclosed that the relationship had lasted nearly eight years, catching her fellow cast members off guard.
Following her candid comments in the latest video, many viewers said they could relate to her perspective.
