On March 5, a new video titled “Silver Button Celebration Q&A (EN)” was uploaded to Song Ji-hyo’s YouTube channel. In the video, the actress celebrated reaching 100,000 subscribers and unboxed her YouTube Silver Play Button.
During the unboxing, Song Ji-hyo admitted that she had misunderstood the subscriber milestone required to receive the award. “I thought the Silver Button was given at 500,000 subscribers. When people talked about the Silver Button, I wondered why they kept mentioning it. But it turns out it’s for 100,000,” she said with a laugh.
She also revealed that the package shipped from overseas included a congratulatory letter signed by YouTube CEO Neal Mohan, adding to her excitement. Looking at the plaque, Song Ji-hyo jokingly commented that it resembled a bottle opener or even a mirror, bringing laughter to viewers.
Why Song Ji-hyo Started Her YouTube Channel
The actress also explained why she decided to launch her YouTube channel. “It’s a way to communicate and show a more natural side of myself,” Song Ji-hyo said. Among her favorite filming experiences so far, she chose the “Yeongdeok trip” episode as the most memorable. “We filmed endlessly like it was an infinite maze. At one point, the team and I sat down and seriously asked, ‘How long are we going to keep filming?’” she recalled.

She also mentioned that filming a babysitting episode was so demanding that she “almost got sick.” However, the mood shifted when the topic turned to her lingerie business. When asked about the venture, Song Ji-hyo became visibly emotional. “If I talk about it now, I might cry,” she admitted.
She explained that although she believes strongly in the quality of the products, she feels sad that the brand has not gained enough recognition yet. “The products are really good, but it seems like not many people know about them, which makes me sad,” she shared honestly.
Song Ji-hyo Shares How She Takes Care of Her Mental Health
Song Ji-hyo also talked about how she manages her mental health during difficult moments. She described herself as someone who is emotionally sensitive and easily hurt. “I’m quite sensitive and get hurt easily,” she said.

When she feels truly down, the actress revealed that she takes a short break to recover. “When I’m really down, I take two or three days off and do nothing. I organize my thoughts deeply but briefly, and once I shake it off, I feel better,” she explained.
Through the candid conversation, Song Ji-hyo gave fans a rare glimpse into both the challenges of running her own business and the emotional side of balancing work, public attention, and personal well-being.
