Song Hye Kyo won Best Drama Actress at Baeksang, “Being able to work with writer Kim Eun Sook is a glory to me”
Song Hye Kyo was honored with Best Actress in the Television category at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards.
The 59th Baeksang Arts Award was held at the Paradise City Hotel in Incheon at 5:30 p.m. on April 28th. The hosts were Shin Dong Yeop, Suzy and Park Bo Gum.
Surpassing many outstanding actresses in a fierce competition, Song Hye Kyo successfully packed home the Best Actress trophy. Appearing on stage, she started her acceptance speech with “I got an award, Yeon Jin ah. I’m really excited right now”.
She continued, “I really wanted to receive this award. Thank you for giving it to me. As I’m standing here, I think of each and every staff member who worked with me on ‘The Glory’. Moon Dong Eun would have never existed without them. Thank you so much. I also want to thank all the wonderful actors who were with me, and director Ahn Gil Ho who filled in Moon Dong Eun’s shortcomings.”
Lastly, she said, “I’ve done two projects with Kim Eun Sook, and both of them were so well-loved. I’m so grateful for that. Being able to work with writer Kim Eun Sook would probably be a glory to me. Although the filming was tough and painful, I have gained the desire to work harder and act more. Thank you.”
