The media added, “Luxury goods market remains relatively stable this year despite the unstable economic situation. The market value of LVMH amounts to 362.4 billion euros (about 386 billion dollars).”
Bernard Arnault is the first European to become the richest man in the world, and the fifth person to rank 1st in the world, following Mexican businessman Carlos Slim, Microsoft (MS)’s CEO Bill Gates, Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos, and Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk.
Arnault’s assets come from his 97.5% stake in Christian Dior owned by LVMH, in which he possesses 41% of the stake. Arnault’s family holds an additional 6% of the stake in LVMH. LVMH has 75 brands, including Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Christian Dior, famous champagne brand Dom Pérignon, etc., with 5,500 stores worldwide.
