In their upcoming K-drama, star actresses Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee will be working with a highly-successful director.
According to Newsen on February 23rd, director Shim Na Yeon will be taking charge of the upcoming drama “The Price of Confession”. This is a drama which stars Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee, and revolves around two women who got entangled in a murder case.
Previously, director Lee Eung Bok, who was behind the successes of Netflix’s “Sweet Home”, tvN’s “Mr. Sunshine”, and “Jirisan” (also known as “Mount Jiri”), withdrew from “The Price of Confession”. Instead, Shim Na Yeon, who made his name via “At Eighteen” and “Summer Days” will be taking up the mantle.
Since then, Shim Na Yeon has been well received for his meticulous portrayal of complicated human psychology, as shown through the 2021 drama “Beyond Evil”. The work, which was extremely well-received, even won Best Drama in the TV category at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards.
Upon hearing the news about Han So Hee and Song Hye Kyo working with director Shim, netizens responded enthusiastically and left comments such as, “I’m looking forward to it”, “This drama is looking really crazy”, “I believe in director Shim”, “The directing in ‘Beyond Evil’ was really good”, “It’s a visual party”, “It already sounds fun“, and so on.
On the other hand, on March 10th, Song Hye Kyo will appear in Part 2 of the Netflix series “The Glory”. Meanwhile, Han So Hee will assume a role in “Gyeongseong Creature”, which is expected to be released within 2023.
Expectations are being focused on the meeting of two top actresses and a respected director.
