Actress Song Ha Yoon is once again under intense scrutiny as fresh accusations of school bullying resurface, despite her repeated denials. The controversy was revisited on the September 5 broadcast of SBS’s Curious Stories Y, which featured claims about incidents dating back more than two decades.
Song Ha Yoon, who rose to mainstream fame with the hit drama Marry My Husband, has consistently maintained that the accusations are baseless. In recent months, she even filed a defamation and obstruction of business lawsuit against the original accuser. Yet the accuser, identified as Mr. Oh, countered with his own massive ₩10 billion (approx. USD 7.3 million) lawsuit, claiming she has shown no remorse.
Oh, who now resides in the U.S., alleged that in 2004 he was slapped repeatedly by Song for over 90 minutes during high school. He said she was later forcibly transferred to another school. While he initially wanted a private apology, he now seeks symbolic compensation after seeing Song portray herself publicly as a struggling, passionate actress without addressing her past.
Nevertheless, it is difficult to find any mention of a forced transfer in Song Ha Yoon’s school records or related information in the disciplinary committee’s meeting minutes. The school also refused to confirm this. In addition, Song Ha Yoon’s side has repeatedly emphasized that there is no supporting evidence and has consistently asserted that the claims are groundless. They further explained that the transfer was voluntary, made in order for her to focus on acting, not a forced transfer.

Meanwhile, another alleged victim, using the pseudonym Kang Hyun-ah, appeared on the program to claim she was assaulted by Song and two classmates, suffering injuries requiring a four-week medical recovery.
A legal expert explained that because the incidents predate Korea’s 2012 school violence laws, official records of disciplinary action or forced transfers may not exist, leaving witness testimony as the most credible form of evidence. A new witness, identified as Jeon Jun-hyuk, also came forward, claiming he saw Song physically assault Oh after accusing him of insulting her.
As conflicting accounts and new testimonies continue to emerge, the debate over Song Ha Yoon’s alleged past remains unresolved. Public attention now turns to how the actress will navigate these renewed allegations.
