On December 12, former 1TYM member Song Baek-kyung posted a series of pointed messages on his Instagram Stories, criticizing the company he once belonged to and referencing former 2NE1 member Park Bom.
Song Baek-kyung began by comparing senior SM Entertainment artists to his own experience, noting, “When I look at SM artists like H.O.T. or Shinhwa, even after all these years, they still respectfully call Lee Soo-man ‘teacher.’ It’s genuinely heartwarming. What do I call mine? ‘Su-U-Mi-Yang-Ga.’” His remark was widely interpreted as a direct jab at YG’s founder, Yang Hyun-suk.

His criticism did not stop there. Song Baek-kyung continued uploading additional posts, this time mentioning Park Bom, who recently made headlines for an alleged legal dispute involving Yang Hyun-suk. “Hey, Park Bom, if you’re going to mock someone, do it calmly like I do. What is this ‘64272e-jo, pay up’ nonsense?” he wrote, adding, “When 1TYM was making our fifth album, the contract offer was barely 5 million won. Even if it were 50 million won, I would’ve hesitated. That’s when I realized the company was a ‘den.’ I refused because it didn’t feel right.”
Song Baek-kyung further said, “I don’t know what ‘64272e trillion won’ is supposed to mean, but if there’s money you didn’t get, calculate it carefully and bill them again. Wake up, Park Bom.”
His posts continued to target YG and Yang Hyun-suk, hinting at lingering resentment. “If anyone among my Instagram friends is still sucking up to ‘Su-U-Mi-Yang-Ga’ over in Mangwon-dong, unfollow me first. I’ve already blocked and cut ties with everyone related to that side, but maybe I missed a few,” he wrote.

“I’m sure they’ll respond with 1000% silence like always, pretending nothing happened. But I’m not the Song Baek-kyung you used to mistreat and look down on. If you treat me badly, I can treat you even worse. Since you guys are ‘Su-U-Mi-Yang-Ga,’ at least try harder to be a ‘U’ or ‘Mi.’”
The posts drew major attention because Song Baek-kyung has previously spoken warmly about YG and Yang Hyun-suk, making the sudden shift in tone especially striking.
Song Baek-kyung debuted in 1998 as a member of 1TYM, one of the earliest YG acts. Although group activities effectively halted after 2005, Song remained with YG as a producer. On the 2017 MBC program “Radio Star,” he mentioned that although he was still part of YG, he no longer had an active contract. In 2019, he successfully passed KBS’s 44th voice actor audition and transitioned into full-time voice acting.
