Actress Son Ye-jin melted hearts by revealing photos and videos of her 4-year-old son during her appearance on the YouTube channel Fairy Jaehyung.
In the September 21 episode titled “But Your Son Is So Beautiful, Ye-jin… The Genes Don’t Lie”, host Jung Jae-hyung praised her child’s looks, saying, “He’s really beautiful. I was shocked when I saw his baby photos—they look just like you.”
Son Ye-jin responded humbly: “If people say he’s too beautiful, later they might think, ‘Not really.’ So please look at it objectively.”
She then surprised Jung Jae-hyung by showing her son’s photos and videos on her phone. He reacted with amazement: “I usually don’t pay much attention to babies, but your son is truly so beautiful.”
The actress, married to fellow star Hyun Bin since 2022, also reflected on her feelings as a mother: “Normally, people say, ‘I hope the baby looks like the father,’ or ‘I hope the baby looks like the mother.’ But in our case, both of us want him to look like ourselves.”
She went on to confess: “I didn’t used to like kids very much. I often heard mothers say the greatest thing they ever did was have a child. I thought, ‘That’s nice for them.’ But I never imagined I’d feel that way myself. Now, my child is irreplaceable. That love is unconditional.”
