Actress Son Ye-Jin is drawing attention for her thoughtful gesture toward her young co-star in director Park Chan-wook’s upcoming film No Other Choice, set for release on September 24.

In December last year, child actress Choi So-yul’s mother shared a post on her daughter’s official SNS account, thanking Son Ye-jin for a special Christmas gift. The photos revealed So-yul smiling brightly while holding a coveted Auroraping doll from Catch! Teenieping.
At the time, the toy was so popular among children that it was nearly impossible to find. So-yul’s mother expressed gratitude, writing: “Even Santa couldn’t get Auroraping, but actress Son Ye-jin made it happen. She truly shines. This is the best Christmas present ever.”

The revelation came after Son Ye-jin recently faced negative rumors suggesting she had ignored child actors on set. The speculation began when actor Lee Byung-hun jokingly teased her during a press event for the film, which later spiraled into misleading online clips and harsh criticism.
Fans and netizens, however, are now pointing back to the resurfaced SNS post as proof of Son Ye-jin’s genuine warmth. Comments include:
- This shows her true character. Actions speak louder than rumors.
- Buying a hard-to-find toy just to make a child happy—so thoughtful.
- People are too quick to judge based on one joke. She clearly cares about her co-stars.
In No Other Choice, Lee Byung-hun plays Man-su, a man who thought he had achieved everything in life until he is suddenly laid off. He struggles to protect his wife Mi-ri (played by Son Ye-jin), their two children, and their home while battling to re-enter the workforce.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on September 24, 2025.
