At the end of last year, Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin donated a total of 150 million won (approx 115,000 USD) to Seoul Asan Hospital and the foundation Baby Box of the Jusarang Community.
The donation sponsored by the two actors will be used through Asan Hospital to support medical expenses for pediatric and adolescent patients. Through the Baby Box, it is planned to be used for support projects for unmarried mothers’ families and funds for children in need of independence.
Regarding the donation, Son Ye-jin stated, “I hope this donation becomes a warm Christmas gift for the children who need a helping hand more than ever in this difficult and challenging time for everyone.”
In the past, Son Ye-jin has consistently engaged in donation activities, including a 100 million won donation for COVID-19 prevention and treatment for low-income families through the Daegu Social Welfare Joint Fund. Additionally, she, along with Hyun Bin, donated 200 million won for those affected by the wildfires in Uljin, Gyeongbuk, and Samcheong, Gangwon, and lost their homes.
Especially expressing high interest and affection for children in difficult environments, Son Ye-jin has been a source of inspiration, consistently engaging in donation activities, including sponsorship for pediatric patients with rare diseases and scholarships for low-income disabled children.
