Kang Ho Dong reportedly refused Lee Seung Gi’s request to host the wedding.
Actor Son Ji Chang said in an exclusive interview with Ilgan Sports on March 3rd, “Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In are busy with work and various circumstances ahead of their wedding, so I told them that I wanted to oversee the wedding as a wedding gift.”
He explained, “It’s a marriage that should be blessed by many people, but it seems that misunderstandings are piling up. Many people are helping the bride and groom to have happy memories. There’s no officiant for Lee Seung Gi’s wedding. In fact, Lee Seung Gi asked Kang Ho Dong, whom he trusts and follows through KBS 2TV’s ‘1 Night 2 Days’, etc., to host the wedding, but Kang Ho Dong declined ‘It feels awkward’ and decided to convey his own congratulations.”
It is known that Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Soo Geun will respectively host the first part and the second part of Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In’s wedding. In particular, Lee Soo Geun and Lee Seung Gi were active as original members of “1 Night 2 Days” and worked together on tvN’s “New Journey to the West”. Singer Lee Juck will perform a congratulatory song.
Earlier on Feb 7th, Lee Seung Gi announced his marriage to his lover Lee Da In through SNS. In a handwritten letter, he said, “She is a warm-hearted and loving person who I want to have by my side forever. Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In are scheduled to hold their wedding at a hotel in Seoul on April 7th.
Meanwhile, Son Ji Chang is known to have formed a close relationship with actress Kyeon Mi Ri, Lee Da In’s mother, while working together in MBC’s “Mudong’s House”.
