Son Heung-min delighted fans with a surprise appearance on Coupang Play’s variety series Office Workers 2 (tentative title), sparking laughter during a playful skit about moving day superstitions.
In a video titled “Son Heung-min visits DY Planning” released on Coupang Play’s official channel, the Tottenham Hotspur captain appeared alongside teammates Ben Davies and Micky van de Ven. They joined cast members Kim Min-kyo, Car, the Garden, Ji Ye-eun, and Lee Soo-ji for a lighthearted meeting.
Lee Soo-ji greeted Son Heung-min with a bouquet and cheerful “Hi guys” in English, while Kim Min-kyo pitched an advertising concept. Car, the Garden jokingly suggested, “People focus too much on your feet as a footballer, but what about your hands?” before unveiling a quirky moving company advertisement featuring Son Heung-min’s face.
The highlight came when Kim Min-kyo quipped about Korea’s superstition of “good days to move with hands”, asking Son Heung-min if he’d heard of it. Son Heung-min bit his lip, struggling to hold back laughter, but finally burst out when Car, the Garden teased, “You must be preparing to move too, right? Maybe to LA?” —a playful nod to transfer rumors linking Son Heung-min to LAFC.
Son Heung-min, laughing with his face in his hands, admitted, “Of course, moving is part of life,” which drew even more laughter from the cast.
Office Workers 2 premiered on August 9 and releases new episodes every Saturday at 8 p.m. on Coupang Play. Fans are now eagerly anticipating Son Heung-min’s full guest appearance, which promises even more unexpected humor.
