Son Dam-bi tearfully confesses, “My wedding invitation doesn’t have my late father’s name”

Son Dam-bi introduced her husband Lee Kyu-hyuk to her late father.

On SBS’s entertainment show “Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny”, which aired on the evening of June 13th, moments of singer Son Dam-bi and former speed skater Lee Kyu-hyuk before their wedding were shown.

Son Dam-bi held Lee Kyu-hyuk’s hand and took him to an arboretum. The two came there to visit Son Dam-bi’s late father with their wedding invitation. Recalling memories of her father, Son Dam-bi said, “When I was 20 years old, my dad had a brain hemorrhage and he suffered because of it for 10 years”. She continued, “He died of lung cancer 9 years ago”, adding, “My dad was quite reserved, but he was a reliable father who always supported me from behind.”

Looking at the tree that has a tag with her father’s name, Son Dam-bi said “I haven’t been here for a while. This tree grew a lot” and called “Dad~”. Standing next to Son Dam-bi, Lee Kyu-hyuk introduced himself, “Hello, father-in-law. This is Kyu-hyuk. I’m Kyu-hyuk, who will take care and be responsible for Dam-bi in the future”, making the viewers feel emotional.

Son Dam-bi added, “Dad, this is your son-in-law. He’s Kyu-hyuk and I’m going to marry him”. She then confessed her nervousness, saying “It was my first time visiting this place with him. I thought my heart was about to pop out.”

Taking out a wedding invitation, Son Dam-bi said, “My dad was supposed to be the first person to receive the wedding invitation. I’m getting married, dad”. In particular, she said, “My dad’s name is not on the wedding invitation”, drawing regret once again.
