MAMAMOO’s leader Solar revealed the meaning of “MAMAMOO”.
On the afternoon of the 11th, a showcase for MAMAMOO‘s new mini-album “MIC ON” was held at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. MAMAMOO attended the meeting.
MAMAMOO’s 12th mini-album “MIC ON” contains the most MAMAMOO-like songs. The album’s title track, “ILLELLA”, is an attractive song with reggaeton’s exotic track and groovy performance. Mamamoo’s serenade under the moonlight combines metaphorical lyrics with an addictive melody to complete a starry night full of excitement that seems like something special will happen.
On this day, MAMAMOO Solar said, “I think meeting our MooMoo (MAMAMOO fandom) is a big deal in itself. MAMAMOO will also appear on the music charts. I think it would be nice to have this great ambition. “I want to do something on the charts”.
Also, the vocalist expressed her anticipation, “It’s been three years since I last performed offline. I’m here to do a proper job this time, and I think I’ll be active. Maybe I’ll do something positive in the near future and get something in the headlines? I predict that something big will happen in the future”.
MAMAMOO armed with free-spirited and lively “MAMAMOO”. Solar said, “I just want to say that MAMAMOO is ‘one genre’. I think there’s just music that MAMAMOO can do. The singer makes music that utilizes each characteristic, and there isn’t a word that can summarize MAMAMOO. It’s MAMAMOO in itself. This is MAMAMOO”, she explained. “MAMAMOO is a genre”, the leader added.
Regarding her future plans, Whee-in said, “Now I have a place to meet fans in-person”. She continued, “If I work hard, I can visit my fans”.
Solar, in preparing for a world tour plan for the first time in 10 years, said, “I’ve never done a world tour. I had a plan, but I couldn’t because of Corona. I wanted to meet a fan abroad, but I’m going to do my best this time”. She said wholeheartedly, “Please look forward to the world tour.”
MAMAMOO will release all songs of their 12th mini album “MIC ON” through various music sites at 6 p.m. on the 11th (KST).
