So Ji Sub to become main character of webtoon-based K-drama “Plaza” 

It is recently reported that actor So Ji Sub will be a cast member for the upcoming K-drama “Plaza” (working title). 

According to a Star News coverage on February 7th, actor So Ji Sub received an offer to appear in the drama adaptation “Plaza” (working title) and is currently in consideration. With “Plaze” in its early stages of production, it is rumored that So Ji Sub will decide to appear after carefully reviewing the script.

“Plaza” is based on a webtoon of the same name, and depicts the story of two organizations that fought for supremacy in Seoul in front of the National Assembly Plaza in Yeouido. Here, the story of the male lead, who begins to uncover secrets after the sudden death of his younger brother, is also a focus.

During its serialization “Plaza” received favorable reviews for its fast development, cool drawing style, as well as for writing “a new history” of Korean noir. As such, news of the drama adaptation hugely raised the expectations of original fans.

On the other hand, So Ji Sub debuted as a model in 1995 and has since appeared in the various hit dramas, such as “What Happened in Bali”, “I’m Sorry, I Love You”, “Cain and Abel”, “Master’s Sun”, and recently, “Doctor Lawyer”. At the same time, he also boasts an impressive film repertoire, with notable projects including “A Company Man”. “The Battleship Island”, “Be With You”, “Alienoid”, and “Confession”. 

With such a huge acting spectrum, attention is being focused on what kind of appearance So Ji Sub will show in “Plaza”.
