Starting from January 30th, the sensational K-drama “You Are My Destiny”, where SNSD Yoona landed her first leading role, will be aired again.

Later on, Jang Sae Byuk is adopted into the Kim family, where her donor used to live, and encounters older brothers such as Kim Tae Young (Lee Pil Mo) and Kim Tae Pung (Lee Ji Hoon). In the drama, Kim Tae Young falls in love with Ban So Young (played by Kim Jung Nan), a single mother with a 19-year-old daughter, while Kim Tae Pung struggles as his crush, Sae Byuk, suddenly becomes his sister.

On the other hand, Sae Byuk meets Kang Ho Sae (Park Jae Jung), the son of her boss, and begins a thorny love story.

“You Are My Destiny” had a great impact on the act of organ donation and organ transplantation, which was not widely recognized by society at the time, and drew great attention. In addition, the series also became a hot topic for being the first leading project of Yoona, who gained explosive popularity as a member of SNSD.

Yoona, who showed extraordinary acting skills in her first leading role, solidified her position as an actress by winning Best New Actress and Netizen Award at the 2008 KBS Drama Awards.

Meanwhile, “You Are My Destiny” started a syndrome by recording a viewership rating of 23.4% (based on Nielsen Korea) on its first broadcast in May 2008, before surpassing the 40% benchmark within 7 months. The last episode recorded a highest rating of 43.6%, a top-tier record among KBS daily dramas. With such an impressive viewership, “You Are My Destiny” was reproduced as various memes on the Internet, which is unusual for a KBS1 daily drama.
