The full member lineup and member profile for RIIZE, the new boy group of SM Entertainment, have been revealed.
RIIZE, the upcoming boy group of SM Entertainment, will consist of 7 members Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Seunghan, Sohee, and Anton.
Previously, Shotaro (born in 2000), Eunseok (born in 2001), Sungchan (born in 2001), and Seunghan (born in 2003) were unveiled.
Now, the profiles for the whole group, including 3 recently-revealed members, have been released.
In particular, Wonbin (born in 2002) possesses outstanding performance and guitar-playing skills, while Sohee (born in 2003) is a member with excellent vocal abilities. Furthermore, Anton (born in 2004), who drew attention from a young age as the son of famous singer Yoon Sang, has exceptional musical sensibility and is capable of composing.
According to SM Entertainment, RIIZE is a team based on the members’ “real-time odyssey” (growth story). On the 1st of August, SM Entertainment opened the group’s official Instagram account, sharing profiles written by the members, their natural daily life images, as well as vocal and performance training and self-directed videos. All of these create a unique and “emotional” feed for RIIZE.
Various images and videos of RIIZE will then be unveiled through their official Instagram account on August 4th at midnight, and the group is expected to debut in September.
On the other hand, the name “RIIZE” is a combination of “Rise”, meaning “to grow”, and “Realize”, meaning “to achieve”. It encapsulates the meaning of a team that grows and realizes dreams together. RIIZE is also set to present its unique genre of “Emotional Pop”, expressing their various emotions through their music.
