SM Entertainment, which has been under controversy over settlement with EXO-CBX, issued an additional position.
SM Entertainment announced that they would provide settlement data to Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin with the consent of other members.
On June 5th, SM Entertainment said, “We intend to provide copies of the settlement data to the three artists.“
The agency continued, “After careful consideration, we intend to provide copies of the settlement data to the three artists on the premise that the three artists and their representative will not use copies of the settlement data for unjust purposes other than checking the settlement details. In addition to the three artists, we also explained the situation to EXO members and asked for their consent and understanding about providing copies of the settlement data.”
They added, “Various reports are being made regarding the three artists’ problem posing, but we do not specifically refute them one by one. However, we would like to clarify that the contracts cannot be terminated simply by unilateral notification with insufficient evidence.”
They also mentioned external forces.
SM Entertainment explained, “In addition, apart from holding third parties or those who are giving incorrect advice to the three artists legally and morally liable, we shall continue to negotiate with the three artists we cherish.”
They added, “We will do our best so that there is no hindrance to EXO’s activities that fans are looking forward to.”
