SM announced the absence of SNSD Yoona and Sooyoung a day before the group’s fansign event: “No additional progress… refundable”

One day before the fansign event of SNSD, SM Entertainment suddenly dropped the news of 2 members’ absence.

On August 30th, SM Entertainment sent a text message to the winners of SNSD’s fansign event and announced a sudden news.

In particular, the company said: “We would like to inform you about the face-to-face fansign event to commemorate the release of SNSD’s 7th album ‘FOREVER 1’, scheduled to be held at 20:00 (KST) on August 31st. Artists Sooyoung and Yoona’s personal schedules have made it difficult to participate in the event.”

“Except for the two of them, Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Seohyun will proceed without change”, they added.

SM then asked for fans’ understanding, saying: “We are sorry for the sudden news, but there are no plans to proceed further in the future. If you want to cancel your participation in the face-to-face fansign event, please contact the customer center.”

Im Yoona, who also works as an actress alongside activities as an SNSD member, is appearing alongside Lee Jong Suk in the MBC drama “Big Mouth”, and will also be featured in the upcoming movie “Confidential Assignment 2: International.”

Meanwhile, Choi Sooyoung is working with famous actor Ji Chang Wook in the KBS2 series “If You Wish Upon Me”. After her contract with SM Entertainment expired, Sooyoung joined Saram Entertainment, where she expanded her acting activities.
