SinB collapsed onstage mid-performance in 2016, Source Music criticized for overworking idols 

In a performance in 2016, SinB, who was a GFRIEND member at the time, suddenly collapsed onstage. 

In 2016, VIVIZ member SinB, who was a GFriend member at the time, performed the song “Mermaid” onstage with her former GFriend members. During the performance, the singer collapsed. At the time, staff members, along with other members, were present to help her to the backstage area for support. 

Before the incident, SinB was said to be in an unstable health condition. She was constantly dizzy and breaking cold sweat. Nonetheless, after the idol was taken to a hospital, she was confirmed to be in a normal state, and nothing serious happened. 

At the time, Source Music was slammed with criticism for exploiting their idols and forcing them to work with thick and intense schedules. At the same time, fans also pointed out other members’ health was not in their best shape. Before the incident, Umji had to suspend her activity and was hospitalized to focus on health recovery.
