Few people know that many popular idols like Suho (EXO), Ahn Yujin (IVE), Dahyun (TWICE),… have been severely nearsighted since childhood.
The eyes are the window to the soul. It’s the ultimate beauty weapon, creating the highlight and the attraction of the face. When looking at the faces of idols, fans are often attracted by their sparkling, deep eyes. However, there are many idols who suffer from severe myopia, even up to 14 dioptres in some cases.
Suho (EXO) – 14 dioptres
EXO’s oldest member often appears with a super-standard appearance that attracts millions of fans. Looking at Suho‘s sparkling eyes, few people think that he is 14 dioptres nearsighted. His eyes are so bad that he can’t see anything more than 7cm away and has to wear contact lenses every time he goes on stage. Moreover, he didn’t get into the army because of his myopia and had to be a community service employer instead.
Sandeul (B1A4) – 13 dioptres
Sandeul is 13 dioptres nearsighted, ranked the 2nd place after Suho. However, he had eye surgery and now his vision is back to normal. He confessed this surprising fact on a TV show.
Ahn Yujin (IVE) – 9 dioptres
It is known that Yujin has been nearsighted since elementary school due to reading books. She used to be a good student before joining the entertainment industry. Despite wearing thick glasses, she’s still a very pretty girl.
Wonpil (DAY6) – 8.5 dioptres
Wonpil is inherently very nearsighted and he does not hesitate to wear glasses on TV shows, stages or at fan meetings. When wearing glasses, the male idol looks a bit “dumb”but his cuteness is undeniable.
Dahyun (TWICE) – 5.5 dioptres
Dahyun is known as the person with the most severe myopia in TWICE. TWICE’s members used to be astounded by Dahyun’s thick glasses. Dahyun usually wears contact lenses on stage and she only wears glasses in her daily life.
Although he did not really reveal his nearsightedness detaily, on a livestream, Kangmin said that he was nearsighted and had to wear thick glasses. Whether wearing glasses or not, the beauty of Kangmin remains unchanged.
