Sam Kim, Kim Samuel and Song Sun Mi had to experience the pain of losing their loved ones to murders.
While losing a loved ones is sometimes unevitable, in these three unfortunate cases (Sam Kim, Kim Samuel and Song Sun Mi), their family members were tragically murdered that left a terror lingers on. Some of the passings made headlines of the news for its shocking nature.
Sam Kim
Recently, News1 reported that Sam Kim’s father passed away from a robbery at the restaurant owned by him in Washington, DC. It was said that the robber barged in on the night of January 13th (local time) and shot Sam Kim’s father in the heart. The wounded was transfered to the hospital immediately when the police arrived but could not make it due to the severity of the wound.
The funeral for the singer’s father was conducted at a church in Washington on January 24th. During the funeral, the singer sang “Don’t Worry” to pay tribute to his father, moving the attendants.
Kim Samuel
In July 2019, SBS News reported that Kim Samuel’s father, a Mexican businessman Jose Arredondo, was stabbed to death by a stranger at his residence in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. His family and friends confirmed that he passed away because the wound was too servere. The police caught the culprit in August, 2019.
During his funeral, Samuel was seen collapsing on his knees and crying in front of his father’s casket. Fans pained to see his reaction as the singer himself had already gone through many obstacles in his career. It was reported that the legal dispute between him and his management agency Brave Entertainment lasting 3 years dealt serious damage to his career. While the matter was settle in 2022, the repercussion caused him to postpone activities for a long time. In three years, his only job was to be the DJ for a radio show.
Song Sun Mi
Song Sun Mi was known for such series as “Model,” “Miss Korea,” “Start Up,” “Mine.” In 2006, she got married to director Go Woo Seok and gave birth to their first daughter 9 years later.
Unfortunately, tragedy came her husband’s cousin hired a hitman to murder her husband in order to take possession of a 68-billion-won inheritance. The cousin received a life sentence and the hitman a 18-year-setence in prison. Son Sun Mi and her daughter were compensated 1.3 billion won for the loss they experienced.
It was said that the writer of “Mine” actually made the tragedy of Song Sun Mi’s life into film. Many viewers actually recognized the similarity between the story on screen and the real-life event of the murder of Song Sun Mi’s murder. Therefore, that was why the actress received a thank-you at the end of each episode, according to the audience.
