Shindong, “Fans took out underwear and threw them onto the stage … ‘This thing’ also flew off during the concert”
Super Junior’s Shindong told the story of when he was embarrassed by the fierce love of fans.
Jin-sung, Kim Ho-joong, Geum Jan-di, Super Junior’s Shindong, and ITZY’s Chaeryeong appeared as guests on the 748th episode of MBC’s entertainment program “Radio Star”, which aired on September 7th.
During the broadcast, Shindong shared, “During our concert in South America, a fan threw underwear on the stage”. When Kim Gu-ra said, “I heard that’s South America’s culture”, Shindong explained, “It was our first time seeing that situation. We didn’t know it was a culture. As soon as I saw the underwear, I froze in the middle of the concert.”
He confessed, “Shocked by the scene, I said ‘Why did you throw it here?’, and it seems like fans enjoyed seeing such a reaction of me. They brought different kinds of underwear to the next concert and threw them all onto the stage.”
He continued, “And there was something more shocking. They even threw contraceptive devices”, adding “So I told them, ‘Please stop throwing things from now on’. Isn’t it weird that we even had to take care of such a situation?”, drawing laughter.
Shindong also threw an absurd object at fans during the concert. He recalled, “There was a time when my veneers flew during the concert. I had temporary teeth for a week before replication. I had a concert during that time. While talking, I suddenly hit my front teeth with the microphone, and four of my front teeth veneers flew off. I took them and put them on in the back, and unfortunately, they fitted in.”
