The new tvN weekend drama Filing for Love, starring Shin Hye Sun and Gong Myung, premiered on April 25. From the intense first encounter between the ruthless audit team leader Joo In Ah (Shin Hye Sun) and the “ace auditor” Noh Ki Joon (Gong Myung), to an outrageous workplace gossip case that kicks off a “morality audit,” the drama captivated viewers with its unique premise and the cast’s flawless performances, delivering both humor and immersion.
The ratings reflected its strong start. In the Seoul metropolitan area, the drama recorded an average of 4.8% with a peak of 6.6%, while nationwide ratings averaged 4.4% and peaked at 6.0%. This marks a 0.7 percentage point increase compared to the finale rating (3.7%) of its predecessor. On the same day, SBS’s Phantom Lawyer recorded 6.0%, while MBC’s Perfect Crown led with 11.2%.
The episode followed Noh Ki Joon as his seemingly smooth career took an unexpected turn. Known for successfully handling major internal corruption cases and standing as the face of the audit department, his life changed drastically with the arrival of the new team leader, Joo In Ah. Just as news of his promotion spread after another successful case, he was suddenly reassigned—by Joo In Ah—to Audit Team 3, the lowest-ranked unit responsible for handling internal gossip cases. Known for stirring up every corner of the Haemu Group’s internal communities, Joo In Ah is widely avoided within the company. As rumors suggest that anyone targeted by her faces a difficult work life, Noh Ki Joon quickly realized he was dealing with no ordinary superior.

His first case in the new role was far from simple. A report came in regarding an inappropriate relationship between employees, with the whistleblower Young Hee (Park Ha Sun) suspecting her husband of having an affair and requesting an investigation. After meeting the involved employees, Noh Ki Joon concluded there was no affair and instead believed Young Hee was overly suspicious. However, Joo In Ah, who immediately sensed something unusual between the two employees, questioned his report—and soon, a shocking truth was revealed: Young Hee’s claims were entirely true.
The episode ended on a dramatic note as Young Hee, overwhelmed with anger, confronted Noh Ki Joon, while he collapsed into Joo In Ah’s arms trying to avoid her—raising anticipation for what lies ahead in the story.
