Shin Hye-sun unexpectedly became one of the most talked-about stars at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards after suffering an awkward wardrobe mishap during the red carpet event.
Held on May 8 in Seoul, the prestigious awards ceremony gathered many of Korea’s biggest actors and actresses. Shin Hye Sun attended the event as one of the nominees for Best Actress thanks to her performance in Dear Hyeri, where she received praise for her emotional acting.
The actress appeared on the red carpet wearing an elegant black corset-style gown that highlighted her sophisticated visuals and graceful aura. However, while posing for photographers, the dress reportedly began slipping downward, briefly exposing part of her inner garment on live broadcast footage.
The unexpected moment quickly spread across Korean online communities and social media platforms, with many viewers expressing sympathy for the actress over the embarrassing incident. Despite the wardrobe malfunction, Shin Hye Sun maintained her composure professionally and continued the photo session without showing visible panic.

The actress was nominated alongside strong competitors including Yoona, Kim Go-eun, Park Bo-young and Park Ji-hyun, making this year’s Best Actress category one of the most competitive lineups at the ceremony.
Meanwhile, another unexpected incident also occurred on the Baeksang red carpet involving Shin Hyun-been, best known for her role in Hospital Playlist. The actress reportedly stumbled and fell while walking the carpet, with some reports speculating that her high heel may have broken during the event.

Fortunately, staff members and the event host quickly stepped in to assist her. Shin Hyun Been later regained her composure during the official photo session and continued participating in the ceremony professionally.
Despite the minor accidents, both actresses still attracted praise for their visuals and professionalism throughout the event. This year’s Baeksang Arts Awards once again generated massive online attention not only for its award winners, but also for the many viral moments that unfolded live on the red carpet.
