According to the notice, Jung So Min was originally scheduled to join the performances at 7 p.m. on the 25th and 7 p.m. on the 26th of this month, but she couldn’t perform due to health reasons. Actress Chae Soo Bin is expected to fill her vacancy.
The production company said, “We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused by the sudden change in the cast lineup. Cancellations and refunds due to the casting change are possible without a fee. Please make inquiries through the customer service center.”
“Shakespeare in Love” is a play based on a movie of the same name released in 1998. It tells the story of Shakespeare, an unknown writer, writing “Romeo and Juliet” with inspiration from his romance with Viola.
Together with Chae Soo Bin and Kim Yoo Jung, Jung So Min plays Viola de Lesseps, the woman Shakespeare loves and the daughter of a wealthy merchant. This woman tries to achieve her dream of becoming a theater actress, which was considered taboo for women at that time.
