Seventeen’s S.Coups exempted from military service

Seventeen's leader S.Coups, who suspended activities due to a cruciate ligament tear, has been exempted from military service

Xsportsnews reported exclusively on March 1st that S.Coups received a military exemption after undergoing recent physical examinations, thus avoiding enlistment.

S.Coups underwent surgery and treatment for a knee injury in August last year. At that time, his agency Pledis Entertainment revealed that S.Coups injured his left knee during the filming of Seventeen’s content and was diagnosed with an anterior cruciate ligament tear in the left knee.

Afterward, S.Coups suspended his activities. He also missed the promotions for the new song “God Of Music” and the Japan tour.

He was reported to have received a military exemption due to the injury he sustained during that time.

Having completed his treatment, S.Coups is planning to return to activities soon. His agency announced on Feb 23rd, “After receiving consistent treatment and sufficient rest, the injured area has somewhat improved. Recently, medical professionals have advised that he can handle scheduled activities without putting too much strain on his body.”

Seventeen will make a comeback next month. It was revealed that S.Coups will participate in comeback activities starting next month.

Prior to their comeback, Seventeen will hold a concert at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on March 30th and 31st. S.Coups is scheduled to meet fans at the concert before the comeback next month.

S.Coups (born in 1995) debuted as a member of Seventeen in 2015.
