“Marry My Husband” Gong Min-jeung “I have the best chemistry with Shin Min-ah”

Actress Gong Min-jeung continues her "womance" with Shin Min-ah

On Feb 27th, an interview with Gong Min-jeung from tvN’s “Marry My Husband” was held at the HB Entertainment building in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

“Marry My Husband” is a drama about Kang Ji-won (played by Park Min-young), who was murdered after witnessing her husband’s affair with her best friend. She goes back ten years earlier and begins her second life.

In the drama, Gong Min-jeung (as Yang Ju-ran) portrays a passive character who always chooses the side where she suffers due to her timid nature, quietly working in her place for the sake of her family even in difficult situations. Yang Ju-ran receives support from Kang Ji-won whenever she is about to collapse due to her diagnosis of stomach cancer and her husband’s affair, gradually becoming stronger and growing.

Gong Min-jeung worked with Park Min-young, BoA and Song Ha-yoon, all born in 1986, in this project, but she singled out Shin Min-ah as the actress she had the best chemistry with. The two previously worked together in tvN’s “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” (2021).

She said, “Although this project was also enjoyable to film, Yang Ju-ran herself was not a free character. Rather, I had to carry the discomfort of this character throughout the acting.”

She added, “‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’ was like an ad-lib party. We filmed too comfortably. The director didn’t cut and we just kept acting. Since we played best friends in the drama, I could have fun filming together with Min-ah. We got along well, and even now, we keep in touch and support each other.”
