SEVENTEEN Seungkwan reveals memories with the late Moonbin “A friend I really like”

To commemorate his birthday on January 16th, Seungkwan released a cover video through SEVENTEEN’s official channel. The song he reinterpreted is “Shape” by singer-songwriter Choi Yu-ree.

With the caption “To the people who love and live warmly“, Seungkwan presented a cover video of “Shape” that he personally recorded and edited.

The video captures Seungkwan’s ordinary yet special daily life, including solo mountain hikes and moments by the sea.

Seungkwan reminisces about valuable memories spent with family, pet dog, SEVENTEEN members, his friends like VIVIZ members SinB and Umji, as well as fans he met during SEVENTEEN’s tour performances.

Particularly touching were the shared photos and videos with ASTRO Moonbin. Moonbin passed away on April 19th last year at the age of 25.

During a birthday celebration live broadcast on January 16th, Seungkwan expressed, “I hope those who loved Bin could watch (my video) comfortably. As I mentioned before, I want to live by sharing good memories with a lot of people. That’s what I wanted to do.”

He added, “I don’t want it to become solemn. But it’s difficult. He’s a friend I really like. Honestly, I wondered if it would work out the way I intended. I worried a lot about whether it would be interpreted differently than my intentions. But thanks to everyone’s consideration and understanding, please spread it widely. I hope many people watch it.”

Fans who watched the cover video left comments like “Seungkwan, we love you a lot“, “Happy birthday to our Seungkwan“, “Let’s be healthy, happy and full of love“, “Wishing happiness to Seungkwan and everyone he loves” and “Lately, I’ve been thinking more about Bin, but thanks to Seungkwan, I feel comforted.”
