Actor Lee Yi Kyung’s compliments on Jin’s real-life appearance and personality attracted attention.
On August 11th, a video titled “Jamsil 13 years ago! Meet Lee Yi Kyung’s ‘start’ (ft. BTS Jin)” was uploaded on Lee Yi Kyung’s YouTube channel “Kyang Lee Yi Kyung”. Lee Yi Kyung visited Jamsil, where he first learned acting. He wrote in the video description, “I’m surprised that the academy is still in operation. I attended this acting academy with BTS Jin.”
Lee Yi Kyung walked down the street and introduced that the academy he attended with world-class idol BTS Jin was nearby. On the data screen, a picture of Jin with halo effect on his back appeared. Visiting the academy, Lee Yi Kyung praised Jin’s unwavering outstanding appearance and good personality from high school to now, “I met Seok Jin wearing a school uniform at that time. He’s still the same. He was handsome back then, too… He was nice.”
Lee Yi Kyung also appeared on MBC’s “Radio Star” and revealed that he went to the same acting academy as BTS Jin during high school days, and that Jin was famous for being so handsome since high school. Jin attended Konkuk University’s Department of Film and Arts while Lee Yi Kyung attended Seoul Institute of the Arts, so they could not meet. However, they later reunited at the MAMA awards ceremony. Backstage, Jin ran to Lee Yi Kyung and called him “Hyung (Older brother)“. When asked by guest Kwon Sang Woo if they exchanged phone numbers, Lee Yi Kyung showed their warm friendship as he replied, “We meet separately.“
