Suspicions of Kim So-hye’s school violence past were raised in 2017 and 2021. In the first controversy, it was revealed that Kim So-hye was not the perpetrator but rather the victim. However, the punishment record from her first year of middle school by the School Violence Committee was released in the second controversy.

At that time, Kim So-hye’s agency explained, “A School Violence Committee was held because Kim So-hye had a dispute with another student over a misunderstanding. They already met in person to apologize and resolve the misunderstanding through conversations.”
