2NE1’s Sandara Park paid an emotional tribute to her late friend Lee Hee-chul on his birthday, visiting his columbarium and sharing her message publicly on October 28. On her social media, she posted, “Happy birthday, my friend Hee-chul. I love you. I’ll come visit again,” along with a photo of his resting place.

She added, “Every time I visit Hee-chul’s columbarium, I see a rainbow. I wonder if he’s the one visiting us. I hope that’s the case,” offering a heartfelt sentiment that deeply resonated with fans. Her warm words to her friend in the sky marked another tender moment of remembrance.

Sandara and Lee Hee-chul shared a famously close friendship that lasted over seven years. They often spent Christmas together and appeared on KBS2’s reality show “Mr. House Husband 2” (2023) alongside Hwangbo and Brown Eyed Girls’ JeA, showcasing their genuine bond and affection.

Lee Hee-chul, a stylist and television personality, was also a cast member on “Mr. House Husband 2.” Tragically, he passed away in January this year due to a sudden heart attack at the age of 38. Since his passing, Sandara has frequently shared memories of their time together, keeping his spirit alive through emotional posts. In June, she moved fans with a simple yet touching message: “I’ll always remember you, my friend.”

Meanwhile, Sandara Park’s group 2NE1 wrapped up the “2025 2NE1 Asia tour [Welcome Back]”, celebrating the group’s 15th anniversary with a successful encore concert in Seoul this past April.
