Sandara Park, “2NE1 spends more money than BIGBANG”

Former 2NE1 member Sandara Park revealed various anecdotes about meeting other celebrities and her time under YG.

On March 8, Sandara Park appeared on a video published by YouTube channel @Energytalktalk.

Here, Sandara Park recalled the time when fellow singer Bada invited 50 celebrities to a group chat before her wedding. In particular, the female idol said, “Before the wedding, Bada invited 50 celebrities to the group chat because she wanted to get closer to them. It was a time when I was much more shy than I am now, and when 50 celebrities I had never met before entered, chaos ensued”.

Although she couldn’t confirm who was there, Sandara Park remembered a specific episode vividly, saying, “Someone said, ‘Hello, I’m a member of BTS.’ When I asked, ‘Who are you?’ Yang Se-hyung said, ‘I’m Yang Se-hyung from BTS.’ There were people like that who were so funny, but I couldn’t say a word.”

Sandara Park also mentioned that she didn’t know anyone at the party hosted by Bada.

“EXO’s Suho was there, and members from various groups were there. It was a splendid lineup”, the former 2NE1 member also said, adding, “It was the first meeting for almost all of us, so there was an awkward atmosphere, but my sister (Bada) was so happy.”

Later on, when asked about 2NE1, Sandara Park expressed regret, saying, “We suddenly disbanded, so I feel sorry for the fans, the members, and I like us being together, so it was  a shame.”

Then Bada asked Sandara Park about the rumor that she earned up to 30 billion won during her prime. To this, Sandara Park responded, “It was so unfair even when it came out in the news. It was definitely not 30 billion won. Our earnings never reached the hundreds of millions range, and we spent a lot of money on costumes.”

“After tours or music videos, the company told us that we spent more money than BIGBANG. We were called in by the accounting team. We didn’t earn that much because a lot of money was spent on investment”, she confessed.
