Ryu Jun-yeol has addressed his relationship and greenwashing controversies directly in a press conference,
On the morning of May 10, the production presentation for Netflix series “The 8 Show” was held at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel in Seoul.

Previously, Ryu Jun-yeol and Han So-hee faced dating rumors due to a sighting by an overseas netizen, and although both agencies remained silent about their private lives, Han So-hee personally admitted to the relationship through her personal blog.
However, after their dating rumors surfaced, Ryu Jun-yeol’s ex-girlfriend Hye-ri posted on SNS without further explanation, saying “interesting,” leading to rumors of “transit love” between them, but Ryu Jun-yeol remained silent throughout the entire fiasco.
Meanwhile, Han So-hee drew a clear line against the transfer dating rumors multiple times through SNS with a strong tone, and eventually, amidst the ongoing controversy, they parted ways.
Additionally, Ryu Jun-yeol attended the Golf Masters event at the invitation of athlete Kim Ju-hyung. This leads to criticisms about how despite consistently raising his voice for the environment, Ryu Jun-yeol participated in activities that harm the environment like golf.
Now, at the production presentation for “The 8 Show”, Ryu Jun-yeol finally spoke up.
He said, “At that time, against my will, various posts appeared on (Han So-hee, Hye-ri) SNS, and rather than answering each one, I thought it was best to remain silent and bear the criticism that comes from it”, adding, “I also read many posts about the greenwashing controversy that arose during my attendance at the Golf Masters event, and it was an opportunity for self-reflection. It seems like I’ve had a lot of worries since my debut. It’s a personal matter, and I believe there will be a time to talk about it later.”
Meanwhile, the new Netflix series “The 8 Show” will be released on the 17th.
