Ryu Jun-yeol “I was impressed by J.Y. Park’s performance, that expression was a misunderstanding”
During an interview at a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the morning of Jan 4th ahead of the release of “Alienoid 2”, when receiving a related question, Ryu Jun-yeol responded, “That expression was a misunderstanding. It was an admiring expression.“
Ryu Jun-yeol explained, “I thought senior J.Y. Park looked impressive in the white dress. I was amazed, telling actress Ahn Eun-jin, ‘How many people can do something like that?’“
He emphasized, “Honestly, that meme is a versatile meme. Try using it with greetings like ‘Happy New Year’ or ‘Merry Christmas’. It works for everything.”
He caused laughter by adding, “I’m so happy. I think I gave you good material since reporters seem to be enjoying it this much. Honestly, I received more messages after that day than on my birthday.”
Lastly, when asked “NewJeans vs. J.Y. Park, who would you choose?“, he replied, “Senior J.Y. Park. I respect senior J.Y. Park’s 30 years of passion.“
Meanwhile, “Alienoid 2” tells the story of humans and monks trying to save everyone by returning to the present while hidden secrets are revealed in the fierce battle for the new sword. It will be released on Jan 10th.
