As tvN’s drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty wrapped up successfully, actor Lee Chae Min emerged as one of Korea’s hottest breakout stars. But with fame comes controversy—and this time, it’s not the actor himself, but his girlfriend, actress Ryu Da In, who has found herself under fire.

The couple, who first met as co-stars in the 2023 hit Crash Course in Romance, have been open about their relationship, often sharing glimpses of their love on social media. Their recent birthday posts sparked speculation about “lovestagram” content, though Lee later clarified in an interview that it wasn’t intentional.
Still, as Lee Chae Min’s popularity soared thanks to his leading role, Ryu Da In became the target of malicious comments online. Screenshots of her Instagram began circulating with hurtful remarks:
- “Even non-celeb girlfriends know better than this.”
- “Thanks for saving me money from his fan meetings, LOL.”
- “Chaemin deserves better.”
- “Stop trying to steal the spotlight from his drama with YoonA.”

In response, Korean netizens on forums like theqoo strongly defended Ryu Da In, criticizing so-called “delulu” fans for crossing the line between fiction and reality.
- “Stop over-immersing in dramas. Actors and characters are not the same.”
- “Delulu stans are a social ill.”
- “If you don’t want your bubble burst, don’t stalk the girlfriend’s Instagram.”
- “They can’t stand their fave dating another woman. Do they think he’d date them if he stayed single? Gross.”
Many expressed disbelief that some viewers would let a celebrity’s personal relationship affect their enjoyment of a drama, pointing out the hypocrisy of fans who accept married actors but attack girlfriends of rising stars.
