i-dle’s Soyeon is set to collaborate with renowned K-Pop producer R.Tee for his first release under his newly launched independent label, RSTS Label.
In particular, R.Tee, known for producing chart-toppers such as BLACKPINK’s “Playing With Fire“, “Kill This Love“, “How You Like That“, BIGBANG’s “Fxxk It“, and Jeon Somi’s “Fast Forward“, among various other hits, is making his debut as a singer with the single “Damdadi“.
Scheduled for release on August 10 at 6 PM KST, “Damdadi” is a pop-house track inspired by a 1980s song of the same name. It blends lively funk grooves and hip-hop beats with Soyeon’s sharp and distinctive rap delivery.
R.Tee explained that his goal was to “maintain the playful spirit of the original while reimagining it for today’s listeners.” Additionally, with RSTS Label’s launch, R.Tee aims to expand his artistry beyond production, marking a significant new chapter in his career.
The song will be accompanied by a music video featuring Soyeon. Teasers suggest a fun office-themed concept with a humorous twist, matching the track’s energetic vibe.
