Roy Kim’s reps confirm he’s constantly working on new music but a comeback schedule remains undecided 

Singer Roy Kim has not set a date for his comeback yet. 

On August 9th, an official from Roy Kim’s agency Wake One Entertainment told Xports News, “Roy Kim is constantly working on new songs. However, his comeback schedule has not been finalized yet.”

Earlier, a media channel reported that Roy Kim is preparing for new music with the goal of making a comeback in August, and that he will release a new album in September at the latest. His last single “Linger On” came out two years and three months ago in May 2020.

In 2019, Roy Kim was identified as a member of Jung Joon Young’s notorious group chat, which included Jung Joon Young, Choi Jong Hoon, and Seungri. He was then investigated by the police on charges of distributing pornography. He was finally granted deferred prosecution in February 2020. Regarding the chat room where the controversy arose, he explained that it was “a separate chat room”.

After that, Roy Kim applied to enlist in the Marine Corps. He entered the Marine Corps training group in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do in June 2020. He was discharged from the military without returning from his last vacation in December last year to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Roy Kim made his debut in the music scene by winning Mnet’s “Superstar K” Season 4 in 2012. After graduating from Georgetown University in the US and starting activities in Korea, Roy Kim received love for his warm vocals and image.
