“Rom-Com Queen” Shin Min Ah Cast as Female Lead in New Drama “Because I Hate Loss”

Actress Shin Min Ah is going to make her return in “Because I Hate Loss,” a new romantic comedy drama.

According to an exclusive report by Star News on June 26th, Shin Min Ah has been confirmed to be cast as the female lead in the upcoming drama “Because I Hate Loss” (literal title).

“Because I Hate Loss” is a romantic comedy about a woman who enters into a fake marriage because she doesn’t want to suffer losses and a man who becomes her fake husband because he doesn’t want to hurt her.

Shin Min Ah plays Son Hae Young, who doesn’t receive her mother’s love properly. Her ex-boyfriend gets married while still dating her, and at work, she doesn’t enjoy benefits and welfare due to being single. She constantly suffers significant losses in her family, work, and relationships. She eventually marries Kim Ji Wook, a convenience store part-timer, just for the wedding ceremony.

The reason why Shin Min Ah’s appearance in “Because I Hate Loss” is already highly anticipated is because this is going to be her comeback as the “rom-com queen”.

Previously, Shin Min Ah showcased her distinctive presence in the rom-com genre through numerous dramas such as tvN’s “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” “Tomorrow, With You,” KBS 2TV’s “Oh My Venus,” and SBS’s “My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho”.

After the conclusion of tvN’s “Our Blues” in June last year, Shin Min Ah has chosen her next project after approximately one year. Her different charm in “Because I Hate Loss” is highly anticipated.

“Because I Hate Loss” is written by Kim Hye Young, the writer of tvN’s “Her Private Life”.
