Rocky Recalled Leaving ASTRO Due To Daying Rumors, “Responsibility For Fans Is The Most Important”
Rocky looked back on his career in an interview with Xsports News
In this interview, Rocky recalled his trainee and ASTRO days, saying, “I think I was mentally inexperienced. I think I was too young to live in this society. After a long time as a trainee, I thought I would actually be able to do everything as long as I debuted. I often missed what was important because I debuted unprepared.”
Rocky believed “responsibility for fans is the most important part.” The singer was involved in a dating rumor, which led to complaints from fans. It was also the time when his exclusive contract with his former agency Fantagio ended, so he decided to leave the group by not renewing his contract.
“I remember being very embarrassed and confused when the environment changed drastically as a child,” he said. “This time, I was so confused or embarrassed that I missed everything else. I made up my mind to accept it as calmly as possible. In addition, I had a lot of worries about what to do and what path to walk in the future,” he confessed.
Even so, he couldn’t deny the heartache he suffered from the sudden breakup with the team. Since he started his career in the entertainment industry from such a young age, even if he experienced numerous big and small issues, he could not describe the emptiness he felt for a while because ASTRO was everything to Rocky.
Rocky said, “I was really sad and I still feel sad.” He boasts a strong loyalty as he always does with the members who shared and dreamed together.
Rocky added, “I thought the members were busy and couldn’t come, but they came to the office of my newly established company, talked with me, and we had a good time. I showed them the performance of the new song I prepared, and it felt strange to see them like it so much,” he said.
Rocky, who has currently established a private agency, One Fine Day Entertainment, is finalizing his dream of becoming a solo artist, album producer, and even manager.
