Recently, a signature left by RIIZE’s Wonbin at a barbecue restaurant in his hometown of Ulsan garnered attention online.
The restaurant authenticated the photo left by Wonbin through official channels, also leaving a message of support towards RIIZE.
Following the fervent response from fans, the restaurant captured and released CCTV footage of Wonbin signing. They added a comment saying, “If this causes any discomfort to Wonbin and his companions, we will delete it.”
The CCTV images sparked controversy. Fans and many netizens pointed out the issues with unauthorized CCTV leaks. Amidst ongoing incidents of celebrities’ privacy violations, netizens also expressed discomfort with such situations.
Shortly after, the post was deleted, but criticism from netizens continues. Comments include, “The restaurant crossed the line by freely disclosing CCTV footage,” “I can understand the signature, but releasing CCTV footage is too much,” “Why release CCTV knowing it’s an inconvenience?” “I can’t even comfortably go eat anymore,” “Please respect Wonbin’s privacy.”
